Welcome
This is a science-based site, founded on the 600-page book, 'God: the science of Christ and the Unseen', by scientist-mathematician and freethinker, professor James Defares.
Its central message is that God exists. This proposition is established by empirical evidence and arguments. Many other themes come up for discussion - in fact nearly all major questions you may have pondered over all your life: Darwinism, the origin of man, afterlife, reincarnation, etc..
As mentioned, the 'Bible' of this website is the scholarly work God: the Science of Jesus and the Unseen, in which the author establishes the existence of God and Jesus on the basis of empirical findings ('solid facts') and scientific evidence. This site is managed by the book's author, James Defares.
This website should be of special interest to the skeptic (not to be confused with the cynic) and provides the definitive answer to the existential problem "God or no God, that's the question."
Themes like 'Intelligent design or random chance?', the 'black hole of extinction' or 'life after this life?' are just two aspects of our quest for the deeper nature of reality. Since we are dealing with 'the unseen', you may well wonder how something 'invisible' could be established empirically.
Physics provides many examples. The oldest is gravity: completely 'invisible' and only deductible from solid facts, such as the apple falling on Newton 's head, as tradition has it. For our theme the classic example is the shroud of Turin, the most precious relic of the Roman-Catholic Church, a linen cloth imprinted by the image of a man. According to tradition it is the miraculous picture of the dead body of Jesus.
But, without detailed scientific investigation, this artifact has no evidential value whatsoever. Since, as is widely known, radiocarbon dating (1988) has branded the shroud of Turin a medieval forgery, it makes sense to present chapter 7 (The radio-carbon dating of the shroud of Turin) in which this claim is refuted, as an example of the scientific approach in Defares' book.
As Dr. James Defares is the man behind this site it is essential to say a few words about his ideological background. As mentioned in the book he was raised in a secular family. His parents never went to church and the word God was never heard. His mother was quietly religious and although she never read the bible, her 'bible' was the well-known work of Thomas à Kempis Imitatio Christi. His father, highly spiritual and much concerned with his fellowman, was a freethinker and admirer of Jesus, Krishnamurti and Gandhi.
In his younger years James was an atheist; not on the basis of in-depth knowledge, but on the basis of the boundless ignorance and glorious arrogance of youth.
In the preface he says: "In my youth I was an atheist. When, as a visiting lecturer at Harvard, I learned that my boss, professor Bartholemew, physicist and mathematician, was a practicing Roman Catholic, I looked at him and thought: 'How can such an intelligent man and scientist believe in all that nonsense.''
Defares’ abiding interest in exploring the nature of our visible and unseen reality began not long after. It is a job no one is sufficiently equipped for, as it covers all disciplines. As a scientist (now retired) in a number of relevant fields - biology, bio-chemistry, biophysics, biomathematics and (outside academia) parapsychology - Defares is uniquely equipped to explore at least one aspect of the conundrum: super-intelligence or blind chance, God or Darwin's lottery? It turns out that, although evolution is an established fact, Darwin's proposed mechanism of 'blind chance' (random mutations) is dead wrong.
On this website all your questions will be answered succinctly, while the full argument and supporting evidence will be found in the corresponding chapter of Defares’ book.
